It's a brilliant strategy. Besides increasing the number of listeners to this station (RED FM 104.9 in Klang Valley), the time spent listening is dragged longer as well.
For a small fee that goes to the sms provider that provides the sms info number 32733, RED FM collects the rest of the RM0.50 for each sms sent in. It's a no-brainer that with so many people vying for the maximum payout of RM2,500, the numbers add up to pay for the prizes as well.
People who send in multiple sms ARE not guaranteed a win. Terms of entry although simple do not explain or inform of the method of selection. Instead more sms is encouraged from many single individual. At the end of it, RED FM may even stand to profit with extra money. Fortunately it ends this week.
